This is part of a series of articles in regard to building an intentional community. You can find all chapters here. Also, this is a draft, a point of starting the conversation so i encourage you to get involved.
Utopia is not a destination, it is an objective to dream for. In this dystopian reality where war, famin, lack of empathy, individualism and tribalism are everyday occurrences, unless we dream, we will lose our souls. You may dream for the immediate tomorrow, this is what i did previously, but now i prefer not only to dream bigger but to act.
The goal is not to prove that is possible for a lucky few but to carve a path for the many. This is not a constitution or charter, this is the starting point of a conversation. I can do some things and I have only „one pen”, but together we can be more than the sum of the parts.
I don’t want to be more than „the fire starter”, the host that encouraged „a seed” to grow, a seed of cooperation, compasion, community, freedom, fair exchange, inclusion.
Will I be able to do it? I don’t know, since only you can decide this, but everywhere I look I can see only good reasons to start this. There are other religious intentional communities but no secular ones that I can find in Romania. Maybe there are and arez undercover, but if you do not leave footprints in society what is the point?
The way I see the future? Adults and kids in nature, playing and working while speaking many languages, sharing many cultures, traditions, religions. I see gardens and greenhouses, healthy food for a healthy spirit. I see books in people’s hands and open conversations. I see oaks that we planted, that future generations will be able to enjoy. I see people living and spreading the seeds of our way of life. I see many answers but i see more questions that together In time will be able to answer.
For resources and othrr articles you can also visit the Faceboog group that i set up. In time there will also be a webpage but we first need a name.
